Notes: Mick Santman is a photographer who creates minimalist images that border on abstraction. His creative process involves thinking while making, and he often uses personal issues such as stress as a starting point. However, he strives to relate these subjects to a broader audience. Through material expression and technical experimentation, he aims to evoke a sense of calmness in his photography. In his latest project, “Blue Mind,” he explores society’s relationship with rest in our contemporary world. Santman’s work is characterised by its minimalistic and abstract qualities, and he is interested in using photography as a means of universal expression.
