Notes: Artist statement:
"One day I was working in my studio and I saw this off-cut piece of linen lying on the ground. The stroke created this great zig zag just like a brush stroke. Very open and at the same time very closed, this was the starting point of the series of ‘cover-up’ paintings. In my practice, I often create a series of works that I use in spatial installations. This series, however, has never entered an installation. I have been interested in creating spatial drawings that can evoke questions. Often, it starts with found traces and ideas of possibility and impermanence. For me, it is more about the questions than the answers. How can I start noticing?"
