Sculptor Wim van Hoorn primarily made a living from numerous commissions by the Catholic Church until the mid-1960s. Once his style grew more abstract, he reached his full artistic development of whoch this lot on offer is a compelling example. His work, including several war memorials, are shown in various public spaces, including the Amsterdam Vondelpark.
